Web Hosting Technical Support Representative - Tier 1

Salary:  Based upon qualifications
Start Date:  Sep. 2010: We are currently accepting additional applications for these positions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • To resolve basic technical support issues for customers of our web hosting clients, in an attempt to resolve before escalating the issue to a Tier 2 representative

Education / Experience / Skills

  • Special Requirement: If you do not have experience using/configuring the Linux Operating System do not apply for this position.
  • Degree in Information Technology related courses
  • Proficiency on all Windows-based PC (Windows 95, 98, 2k, ME and XP)
  • Proficiency with FTP, Fetch, and other File Transfer Protocol programs
  • Proficiency with other web development programs such as FrontPage, Dream Weaver, etc.
  • Proficiency with email clients such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.
  • Strong desire to self teach, research and advance skills often times working individually and without assistance from a higher level technical support individual
  • Must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills as well as ability to provide results and learn quickly in a highly technical, fast-paced team environment
  • Flexible, must willing to work days, nights, weekends and or holidays when the need arises
